Job Description:

To execute the importing/exporting/Customs & Foreign Trade services provided to external and internal customers within company policies and business direction. Ensure agreed upon service levels as regards to quality, timeliness and reliability, execute proper handling of exports, execute logistics function for Taiwan office. Ensure new staff be qualified for operation process after training.


Main task

Monitor door-to-door performance for orders under accountability, ensuring delivery as promised to (internal or external) customers.

Manage complaints and/or claims through the SAP NCM module (if applicable).

Monitoring of inadequate or incorrect Master Data and initiate rectification with responsible parties.

Where applicable, transfer contracted and spot freight agreements into operations’ system for day-to-day use.

Monitor utilization rate of and adherence to contracted quota.

Invoice verification and check freight invoices for deviations from agreed rates/fees.

Back up outbound transport management team colleagues

Provide Import/Export Statistic Report to BU/functional Department when be required.


Continuous Improvement

-Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and issue resolution of supply chain issues pertaining to outbound transport & export management scope.

Coaching

-Provide full training of import/export operation for new staff, ensure the trainee could be qualified within planned training period.

-Master new operation procedures / internal regulations and ensure other import/export/C&FT team members be well trained in time.

Customer Services

-Ensure adherence with agreed service levels, analyze drawbacks and take corrective/preventive measures as agreed upon with Logistics Management. Evaluate customer problems and liaise with internal departments and service providers to work out solutions.

-Transportation Management in System (TMS).

-Ensure timely and accurate process in TMS. Provide TM freight reports, and check with LSP monthly, ensure the export freight payment completed in time.

Cost Control & LSP Monitoring

-Monitor LSP daily performance as well as operational costs, work out proposals to improve performance and cut costs, thus helping to achieve an optimum balance of service costs and quality standards in line with service policy.

Quality Management, ISO & EHS Adherence

-Ensure existing operating procedures and processes are adhered to. Comply with the regulations in ISO9002 and ISO14001 and improving our behavior to ensure the system go smoothly. Ensure order processing in line with Transportation and Distribution Safety (TDS) requirement.

Government Regulation

-Ensure all the related process and documentation is in compliance with government regulation & country-specific legal laws and regulations.

Reporting

-Report to team leader on order processing conditions, LSPs performance v.s. contracts, incidents & accidents etc.   

-Generate statistics report, incl. monthly KPI report.

Requirement:

-Education: College degree or above in international trade, logistics, supply chain or related discipline.

-Working Experience: About 8-10 years working experience in logistics or supply chain; Working experience in chemical industry preferred.

-Expertise in Import/Export Management processes and procedures, INCO Terms and export/import regulations preferred; Have knowledge of IMDG, IATA, Supply Chain Processes, Transportation Management (Air, Maritime and surface) preferred; Experience in SAP preferred.

-Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good capability in written and verbal English and Mandarin; Have intercultural competence, communication and language skills; Have proactive and solution orientated; Have issue handling skills; Skillful in software of excel, word and PowerPoint;
